Voices in Motion is a multigenerational choir that brings together adults experiencing memory loss, their family members, care partners, caregivers, young people and members of the community.
In addition to a joy-filled choral experience, singers benefit from belonging to a supportive community where they experience love, connection and support. These life-giving moments of music foster increased socialization, cognitive function, meaningfulness, and a multigenerational appreciation of others. Weekly rehearsals lead to a concert at the end of the season – but the journey and development of a dementia-friendly choral community is as important as the public concert.
